BALI MOUNT BATUR TREKKING TOUR

Mount Batur is an active volcano in Kintamani district, Bangli regency, Bali, Indonesia. Located in the northwest of Mount Agung, the mountain has a caldera measuring 13.8 x 10 km and is one of the largest and most beautiful in the world (van Bemmelen, 1949). Caldera bund height ranges between 1267 m – 2152 m (summit G. Abang). I formed inside the caldera caldera II in the form of a circular with a diameter of approximately 7 km. The basis of the caldera II is located between 120-300 m lower than the railroad Kintamani (basic Caldera I). Inside the caldera there is a crescent-shaped lake that occupies the southeastern part of the length is about 7.5 km, maximum width 2.5 km, the circumference of about 22 km and width about 16 km2, which is called Lake Batur. Mount Batur caldera formed by an estimated two major eruptions, 29 300 and 20 150 years ago [1].

Mount Batur is composed of three volcanic cones with each of the crater, Batur I, Batur II and III.

Starts early, we will pick you up from your hotel 02:00 – 03:00 am Bali time (depends on your hotel location). Trekking on this active volcano in Bali, you will have chance to see beautiful view of Mount Batur (1717m/5366 ft), second most holy mountain in Bali Island. The slopes of this still active volcano are covered by extensive fields of black lava which continue deep into the massive caldera. Trekker who reasonably fit will need between 1,5 – 2 hours to climb the mountain. From the top of mount Batur, you can witness amazing sunrise, Batur lake and panorama of eastern part of Bali island, breakfast will served on the top mount Batur. After Mount Batur trekking, program will continue to visit the  Bali Coffee Plantation  and to see the cat coffee processing at traditional Bali coffee processing and Spices garden .
